Quebec stories for kids podcasts

Stories to listen to

Listening to a story works the imagination differently than a video does, since the child usually pictures the characters, places and voices on their own. The shows in this subcategory tell adventures, legends or original stories, sometimes in short episodes that slip easily into the evening routine.

• A short episode to go with bedtime.
• A series of adventures to follow during a long trip.
• A legend or a traditional tale to discover the culture of Quebec.

Listening alongside the little ones

Listening with the child the first time helps you judge the pace, the vocabulary and any parts that might worry them. It also helps to talk about the story afterwards: asking a question about a character or imagining a different ending makes the fun last longer and encourages them to express themselves.

Longer episodes are better for trips, while a short format often suits the bedtime ritual. Matching the choice to the time of day keeps an exciting adventure from delaying sleep. Hearing a familiar story again also reassures many children, who like knowing what comes next.

Keeping the love of stories going

This subcategory is part of a larger whole: the kids and family category also brings together shows about parenting and education. Parents who love to read can explore literature or audio fiction.
